Change Your Windows Password

This guide will walk you through the steps and requirements of changing your windows password.

To change your Windows password, close all open programs and connect to VPN if you are remote. Press CTRL + ALT + DEL and select “Change a password,” which will redirect you to the Microsoft password change page. Sign in if prompted, then enter and submit your new password that meets all complexity requirements. After submitting, lock your computer using Windows + L, then immediately unlock it using the new password. Locking and unlocking is required to complete the change and prevent account lockout.
